Raised in East Tennessee, Tim Francis began his career in technology at an early age and his propensity for “fixing things” has never left his repetoire of skills. With an affable personality and known to his friends as a gentle giant, Tim brings a tranquil quality to our offices. As Managing Principal and Executive Vice President of Operations for Custom Software Design Group, Tim is known for his ability to make the impossible a reality. He is often caught saying, “I was made to carry a lot of weight a long way at a very slow pace,” which is the perfect description of his patience and fortitude.
His secondary education focused on software development and his real life experiences always brings him back to those fundamentals. Tim is the hub of our operations team and every project which comes through our door is prepared and planned through Tim’s office. His 15+ years of hands-on development have given him a unique insight into the nuances of the development process and allows him the ability to create extraordinarily accurate estimates of development time and resources.
Tim’s former first-hand clients have included such power houses as Philips Consumer Electronics, BellSouth/AT & T, 3COM and more. Today he works exclusively through Custom Software Design Group and manages projects and developers, but he can often be caught speaking on the telephone directly with a client, resolving day-to-day issues.
